2011 ZX10R wire harness KDS plug question

Re: 2011 ZX10R wire harness KDS plug question
ok, thanks for the feedback. Its the first time it has come up so I am not sure how many people have this shock installed? A few i am sure.

Re: 2011 ZX10R wire harness KDS plug question
This is the first i have heard of any other device connecting to the KDS plug, so we have not really thought too much about it, we will definately be able to make up a pass through connector for you. Please contact us at the time. Anybody with an Ohlins Mechatronic and the onbike harness has a need for one right now. I don't keep part of my harness on the bike right now. I do have to unplug the Ohlins prior to flashing. It is not a high priority right now, but an option for those of us with a Mechatronic at time of purchase would be very nice and probably sell. Its just something to keep in mind for the future.

Re: 2011 ZX10R wire harness KDS plug question
This is something I have wondered about. The Ohlins really doesn't give any verifiable means of ensuring it is working correctly. You plug it in and assume it is working. I really wish they would add a feature to check if it works. Point being a pass through device between the boxes would be great and I hope a harness is offered at time of purchase allowing dual communication, but with the pass through cable you will not be able to verify the Ohlins is working correctly.

Re: 2011 ZX10R wire harness KDS plug question
Yes this should be possible, they would share the communications bus, provided the Ohlins shock "plays nice" on the bus and does not assume it is the only device connected.

2011 ZX10R wire harness KDS plug question
On my ZX10R I have a Ohlins MKII rear shock, all that to say it connects to the KDS plug to get the it's setting mode info. If a log box is released for the ZX is there some way to make a pass through wire harness to allow both to be connected at the same time.
