Re: New Install |
| Thanks for the post, and yes making sure the pins seat correctly is probably the most difficult part of the install, but as you mention the best way is to look at the ECU side of the plug to ensure they have pushed through right to the front of the plug.

New Install |
| Hi.
I received my ECU flashing kit (thanks WoolichRacing, it got here so fast!).
Just a quick note to anyone installing the Kawasaki on-bike Harness type 3b (zx14r, zzr1400)...
When you push the connectors into the ECU plug, they go through a rubber sleave inside the plug.
The first attempt I thought I had pushed the 2 connectors on all the way but when I connected the USB device I received a "connection error".
I went back and rechecked the ECU plug and after playing around managed to push the pins further into the plug.
You know they are seated properly when you can see the pins when looking at the front of the ECU plug without the blue cover in place.
It all works like a charm and after a read and save (to return to stock just in case), I immediately disabled the speed limit and changed the KTRAC to "retain settings". I am still playing around with the maps and looking forward to the "share your bin file" functionality that is coming.
Well Done Woolich Racing! |
