GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.

 Re: GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.
More like a simple installer!

 Re: GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.
Ok great, good to hear it was a simple harness issue!

 Re: GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.
SUCCESS! Installer issue with harness wires into ECU plug! Just flashed ECU & the codes are off. Too late to fire it up now will see in a couple of days. Now to tidy up the mess!

 Re: GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.
I have removed the tape from the loom & have it sitting approximately where it needs to be. Have checked continuity for all wiring & seems O.K. I have removed the pair valve, purge valve, exhaust valve, ISC, steering damper, oxy sensor, handlebar switch plugs & other road bike requirements. Still running starter & charge system. Maybe something I've removed needs connection to the ECU?

 Re: GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.
When testing flashing mode the jumper wire has to be in place or the test will fail. Have you been over the harness and checked for lose or broken wires or connections?

 Re: GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.
It's running now. 8-) Still won't talk to WRT. I've followed the read/write procedure. When trying to read or write ECU this message appears, Unexpected or missing ECU response during initialisation. Program aborted, reset ECU & re-program. Testing Interface in engine data it passes, Flash mode fails with 'Test Failed. Read data length does not match write data length' but passes when jumpered as per testing. Tested voltages at molex plug, test 1 6.43v, test 2 6.44v. Any clues?

I'm sending you a pm

 Re: GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.
Ignition immobiliser issue sorted. I think the C29 STV fault also cuts out the ECU.

 GSXR1000 K6/K8 ECU Help.
O.K. Here's what I've done, K6 1000 in LCR Roadrace Sidecar, K8 32920-21H60 U.S. ECU & wiring loom, stripped out all wiring not required, changed Injector plugs for K6 throttlebodies (removed STP & shaft), fitted K8 cam sensor, K8 air intake sensor, all following the wiring diagram so I didn't remove anything important. Sidestand switch plugged in. Clutch switch wire cut at ECU. No ignition switch used, just a lanyard switch for main power & toggle switch for ignition & fuel. Power up & no fuel pump cycle (if I earth yellow/black at the fuel relay the pump works continuously). No spark on cranking. Can't get WRT to communicate with ECU to flash in BIN. Com port correct in laptop. Codes C29 STP malfunction. Have STP motor hooked up but no shaft engaged. C42 Igntion switch immobiliser C46 Exhaust valve. Will be removed when flashed. C93 Steering damper. " " " " " I've looked on other forums & think I need a 100 ohm resistor fitted to the orange/yellow wire as per the ignition switch in U.S. If immobilised does it cut spark & start?
