Re: Tuning Operating Instructions? |
| Good to hear you have sorted the problem. The best way to disconect an interface is to turn the bike off before discounecting. |

Re: Tuning Operating Instructions? |
| Problem solved! I was not switching the kill switch to run when I was trying to read the ECM. Even though the dash always displayed "chec" and the fuel pump never primed I was able to read the ECM and flash it with the first read I had on the bike. I must have not disconnected the log box/ computer correctly. What is the proper procedure for disconnecting? |

Re: Tuning Operating Instructions? |
| I have had a couple of customers in the past have problems similar to yours by unplugging the interface while the ECU was flashing, especially in the first part of the flash when the erase is happening? Is this when it was unplugged?
I unplugged the computer from the log box after I read the ECM. I unplugged it at the step where the software asks for you to send the map to you guys. When i did unplug it the software did lock up a bit and had errors. I wish i wrote them down but i didnt. I have never flashed the ECM and this was the first time I read the ECM. |

Re: Tuning Operating Instructions? |
| After I read the ECM it asked me to send it to you guys for review (not too sure if you got it or not). My laptop was not connected to the Internet so I unpluged it from the log box and I remember the tuning software didn't like that. Could I have messed up the bike by not unplugging it properly? |

Re: Tuning Operating Instructions? |
| We plan to produce some videos shortly on how to flash and use AutoTune etc.
With your more pressing problem. Do you get this problem when the Interface is disconnected from the bike? The bike will have these symptoms if you leave the Interface plugged in while in flashing mode and/or not connected to a computer.
Today I unpluged all the tuning wiring I could except the 2 wires in the ecu plug and still had the problem. I also tried it with the tunning wiring all connected except the log box. I double checked the wiring too and everything checked out. I also have been disconnecting the battery with these different variations I have been trying with no luck. I have noticed that when I connect the battery I hear a small little click noise from my dash. I hear it too when I turn the key from off to on. Could something with the display gone bad? |

Tuning Operating Instructions? |
| Hi everyone, I'm new to the form and flashing so I need some help. Does anyone have instructions on what steps to take to read and flash your ecu? I did get the log box and appreciate instructions on how to use autotune. I was able to read my ecu last weekend after some struggle however now I have "check" on my dash and my fuel pump doesn't prime and bike won't run. Engine will crank over. Fuses all looked good. Any ideas? |
