Re: Log Box Pro configuration problem |
If there is no DEVICE.CFG file on the micro SD card a new DEVICE.CFG file will be created with the default settings when the device is started. You only need to go to Tools => Device Configuration if you want to change the default settings.
We have had a couple of users with a micro SD card that needed to be formatted as it was not saving log files or the DEVICE.CFG file was corrupted.
The best way to format the micro SD card is the remove the micro SD card and use a card reader to format it with Windows. You should use FAT32 file system with the default allocation size setting. |

Re: Log Box Pro configuration problem |
Ok, quick update:
I´ve disabled the QS, wrote to ECU and then enabled it again. Now this one works
BUT, the part with the new configuration of the device is not working for my LogBox... |

Re: Log Box Pro configuration problem |
I keep getting this problem also on my mitsu interface. Its a bit of a crapa when it stops logging and you don't check to make sure there is a file there after ever ride then realise after half a dozen sessions theres one file there at most.
Please fix this Justin. |

Re: Log Box Pro configuration problem |
What do you mean by go through setting choices? Can you give a step by step on how to create a new config file please?
Connect the Logbox to your laptop. Start the software. Switch to "Read/Write" mode. Click on "Tools" and select "Device configuration". Enter the settings you want - that's "going through setting choices" - when finished click on "Save". The new configuration file is saved on the SD card. Make a copy of it and keep safe so yo wont need to go through this every time the file gets corrupted (which happens fairly often) and you get an error message. |

Re: Log Box Pro configuration problem |
It sounds like the config file is created each time you start the program (if one isn't present). Since yours could be broke, delete the config file and all your settings will be gone but at least the program will start allowing you to enter your personal settings again. Might be an idea to keep a copy in case yours isn't broke.
And for future fixes, make a copy of your new config file and keep it somewhere safe. Then you won't need to add your personal settings again. |

Re: Log Box Pro configuration problem |
No, not the bin file. On the SD card in the Log Box there is a configuration file created when you save your settings. Sometimes it gets corrupted and causes these error messages. Delete it, and go through your setting choices again and then save it. New config file will be created there. Copy it and save on the laptop so you can have a backup copy. That will save you time going through the whole process selecting your settings if it get corrupted again. Just remember about updating the backup every time you change your settings.

Re: Log Box Pro configuration problem |
I recently experienced the same error message. Though it occured in Quickshifter Settings:

I just can´t save any changes
Try deleting the config file and start over. I keep copy of one on my laptop handy just in case. It makes it much easier if it gets corrupted. |

Re: Log Box Pro configuration problem |
All good. Figured that the Config file got corrupted somehow so I deleted it and created the new one. All works fine now.
Thank you all for looking |

Log Box Pro configuration problem |
After downloading the last set of log files this morning the logger has stopped working and no longer logs any data. I have tried to check the configuration setup but can no longer connect to the box from the software's menu Tools > Device Configuration. The moment I press the button the following message appears:
" Value of '255' is not valid for 'Value'. 'Value' should be between 'Minimum' and 'Maximum'.
Parameter name: Value "
Everything else it seems to work fine - I can read and write to the ECU, I can can see the Log Box and can access the Micro SD card and see the Config file there. All the LED's also seem to be working OK in all positions of the switch.
Please advice on possible solution.
Ps. The hardware was bought only 3 weeks ago and worked fine since the installation last week until this morning. |
