Re: Bosch Wideband Sensor Lifespan |
| 80hrs? nonsense. they last in automobiles for 100k + miles. |

Re: Bosch Wideband Sensor Lifespan |
| Sensors tend to start responding slowly before they crap out completely. You can kinda see it in logs when you blip the throttle, and how many lines later it takes to register a change.
Roughly 80 hours is what I've seen in rich applications on pump fuel, such as trackday/race use.
Sensors are relatively cheap, just get a new one if you're in doubt. |

Bosch Wideband Sensor Lifespan |
| Hello
What is the expected lifespan of the Wideband sensor.
The bike is a gsxr 1000 2009 trackday bike.
The sensor is placed 96cm away from the cilinderhead in the link pipe.
I am running unleaded fuel euro 95
The bike is tuned to an afr of 12.5
The bike is used about 10 trackdays a year.
10 x 5 sessions x 20 min = 1000min a year.
This Is about 17 hours a year.
I am using the sensor about 2 years now.
And how can I tell if the sensor is not working properly anymore.
Thanks Wim |
