The 02 sensor don't care what material the bung is made of. You can thread the same 02 sensor into a Titanium or Stainless bung. It will work exactly the same in either metal. Proceed with your project post haste. |

can i replace The titanium O2 bunghole with a stainless one |
Just what the title says.. Can I replace the supplied bunghole that is made of titanium with one that is made of stainless steel? I am having an issue where the spot that the O2 sensor is supposed to be mounted is made of stainless .. but the stock bunghole that came with the woolich racing kit.. is made of titanium ..I am getting conflicting reports about welding Titanium to stainless.. So the big question is if I have a bunghole made of stainless will the O2 sensor work correctly ?? or will the stainless fitting mess with the O2 sensor because of a change in temp... being mounted in stainless instead of titanium... Trying to keep this legal by keeping the Catalitic converter... but the dam O2 bunghole is titanium and the converter is stainless...... |
