Re: Red,green,yellow,blue lights flashing |
All of our current interfaces use built in windows drivers and do not require a specific driver to be installed to use. It is very unusual for the device to not be detected correctly. One thing you can try is to open "Device Manager" in windows and find the device, then right click on it and choose uninstall.
Once it has been uninstalled, unplug the device, reboot the computer and then plug it back it to see if windows will detect it and install the driver from scratch. |

Re: Red,green,yellow,blue lights flashing |
Thanks for the reply. I tried that, thinking that if I could reload the firmware, I could be on my way. However, I could not get windows to recognize the log box in bootloader mode. Device manager shows the log box, but there it says it cannot find a driver for it. What driver can I manually use to get windows to interact with the log box? |

Re: Red,green,yellow,blue lights flashing |
Hi Brian
It looks like your log box is in bootloader mode, this mode allows the log box firmware to be updated. If you go to "Tools"=>"Device Configuration" in WRT, you will be prompted to select the type of device. Once you do this the device firmware update process will begin. Follow the instructions to update the device firmware.
Once the device firmware process completes you the operation of the log box will go back to normal.
If you continue to have problems after completing the above, please open a support ticket: http://www.woolichracing.com/support/ |

Re: Red,green,yellow,blue lights flashing |
My log box is doing something a little different. When the switch is in Write mode, the red LED will flash, then the green, yellow and blue LEDs will flash simultaneously. When the switch is in Data Logging mode, the green LED will flash, then the red, yellow and blue LEDs will flash simultaneously. Finally, when the switch is in Engine Data mode, the yellow LED will flash, then the green, red and blue LEDs will flash simultaneously. This behavior started when I opened device configuration. A message said there was a firmware update available. I clicked the update button. About 2 seconds later, the LEDs on the log box started flashing as described above. |

No problems, glad it was useful |

Re: Red,green,yellow,blue lights flashing |
I realize this is an old post, just wanted to put some info up in case someone has the same issue in the future.
There are 2 different cases where the LED's will flash on one of our Log Box or Log Box Pro products.
1) If the LED's are flashing all at the same time, the device is in bootloader mode and is waiting for a new device firmware to be loaded, please go to "Tools"=>"Device Configuration" to update the firmware. There are also details in our support center on how to manually reset the device firmware: http://www.woolichracing.com/SupportCenter/Item/111/resetting-device-firmware.aspx
2) If the LED's are flashing one after the other, this indicates that there is a problem with the micro SD card. You should check to see if the micro SD card is properly seated, if this does not resolve the issue, try removing the mciro SD card and format it in your computer with Fat32 file system and default allocation size. If this still does not resolve the problem you can try a different micro SD card. Our devices work best with 2GB micro SD cards, you can also generally use 4GB micro SD cards with our newer interfaces.
lol, great post about #2.
I had that happen a month ago. When I came back from a ride I plugged my Log Box into USB and computer and all 4 lights were flashing. Blue, then Red, then Green and then Orange, over and over in sequence, not all at the exact same time. I could not figure it out. I tried numerous things even including putting it in bootloader mode (where all lights flash at the exact same time) and reloading firmware to no avail and creating new config file.
Later I messed with the SD card. I have never had it out and didn't want to be removing it as I saw no reason too, but I took it out and reinserted it, went and had lunch, and when I came back all was good and has been since then.
Thanks for posting this Justin, glad to know what the issue actually was. No longer a mystery.
BTW, contrary to what other people have said, my SD card snaps and clicks in nice and tight.
I wrap my log box in a piece of foam before stuffing it in the trunk before going riding. |

Re: Red,green,yellow,blue lights flashing |
Mine started randomly doing this. What is programing mode and how to get out of it? |

Mine did this when it was in programming mode. |
