| Thanks for the info Marc. the GSXR shifts very well from the factory but this is the first bike I have had in the past 10 years without the Factory Pro shift star installed. its good but not as smooth as it could be with better star and arm. plan to get both the FP star and the Woolich race tools during the break coming up.

| When installing a Factory Pro Shift Star kit, you will have to shorten the quickshifter shift kill duration by 10mm to 15mm.
(that's BY 10ms to 15ms, not TO 10ms to 15ms!).
Best Shift Star equipped quickshifter settings often arrived at are as little as 40ms, commonly 45ms and occasionally 50ms.
If a bike with a stock shift star ends up at 55ms, 55ms is slow and average and if you end up at 65ms, 65ms is almost glacial.
What you are looking for is the smoothest, shortest, most mechanically friendly shift speed.
The quicker you can make the bike shift, the less time spent with the engine killed while shifting. Instant ET decrease.
The Shift Star kit also helps downshifts, as in when using the bike for roadracing.
