I have now completed incorporating the quick shifter code into the proper 750 ecu bin file. It has been a very interesting task. Something that has taught me a lot of new skills. It will also work straight away with the 600 ecu too.
Today I am going to go a stage further and update the code for per gear kill times. |

I think I missed the delivery for the logbox today. Whilst I have been waitting for it to turn up I have been working on the quick shifter code for the 600/750. I think I might have a bin ready to test in the next few days. Maybe a week. I have a couple more things to trace locations for and I can compile the code to use a proper 750 bin with shifter code, rather than the 1000 bin. Shame my engine is being rebuilt. I won't actually be able to test it for ages.  |

| I got the Logbox directly from Australia, like everything i need (Wireharness and stuff like that).
I am running the Innovat LC1 with the Bosch LSU Sensor, works great and is easy to install. |

| Thanks for the reply. Once I have it all plumbed in I intend to get a log box. Which o2 sensor do you run? Is there a UK/EU place to get the log box from?
I think the flash will work. Was thinking about the anti theft. The EU ECU will expect an immobiliser etc. I have flashed an ECU to remove the anti theft, I can't remember if that was a Gsxr or my R1. It was just a single byte. I will have to figure it out again. |

| Yeah, its a lot of copy/paste to do if you want to do it right!
I am only racing, so its a track bike, but espacally on a track bike you want smooth throttle response when you are at the apax applying throttle in the lower tps levels.
So i would recomend to use the log box on the track to get a fine-tuned map.
The advanced settings work, excapt the ISC Valve and the idle speed settings. i always had problems with it, even when i disable the isc i got an FI sometimes when the idle-rpm got to high for example after a race in the outlap when the bike was very hot.
I am not sure about US or EU Bin-files, i am from germany so i always use EU files. |

| Ok, so that is great to hear that you have had success with your bike. Is yours a road bike? I am only using this bike for track/racing so I am not too bothered about it being a bit fluffy at part throttle openings etc.
Man, you can see why these bikes take so much R&D every value is different! I have just been through all the WRT screens, even the individual cylinders for each A/B/C map to copy the values over to the 1000 map.
Do you know if the advanced settings such as 'Disable PAIR' work?
Also I see that the stock 1000 ECU bin file I used was for an EU/AUS ECU and I have a US 750 ECU, will it work still?? |

| They are all diffrent, and i would copy every map from the 750 to the 1000 bin file, but even if you have copied all maps, the bike wont run as good as it ist doing with the 750 bin file.
I was riding for about 2 years now my 750 with the 1000 bin file so it is working good, but its not perfect. |

| Ok, so I figured out that EcuEditor shows the maps for both GSXR1000 and GSXR750 up to 16000 rpm. So I took all the fuel and Ignition maps from the 750 and copied them into the 1000 bin file in EE.
So now in theory I have a bin file for a 2008 1k with quick shifter functionality but with the fuel and ignition map values for a 750, which should work when flashed into a K8 750 ecu. Is this correct?
How about the STP openings etc? Are they the same or do I need to do more work copying them over? |

I thought I may as well have a go at making the 750K8 bin file with QS myself. When you said that you took a 1000K8 bin file and copied the maps over, how do you get around the fact that the rpms limits are different etc?
I created a 1000K8 bin file with quick shifter active in EcuEditor, saved it and opened it in WRT, all fine.
I loaded up another instance of WRT with a std 750K8 bin file and started copying the maps over using copy and paste, but the rpms limits are different, the maps for the 1000 do not go to the higher revs as per the 750 bin file.
Ages ago, over on the ECU hacking board I did look at adding the QS function to a K7 600 ECU, at the time I had to cut open the ECU to read the AUD ports to get a bin file. I ended up getting rid of the bike before I managed to read bin successfully. I have lost all the stuff I did at the time as it was on an old computer.
Going to have to spend a bit of time getting up to speed on this stuff again.  |

| Hi, I am putting a k8 750 motor into my UK k7.I have a US ECU, new loom and throttle bodies for a k8 to go with the motor. I want to start using WRT with autotune, rather than power commander, hm shifter etc.
Any chance of sending me the bin file with QS?
Is there a way of updating the definitions in WRT to add the QS options into the GUI?
I take it I need to do the qs stuff in EE and autotune in WRT?

This is good if you have one for the 750. can you please send me the file?
Send me your email and I will send it to you... Yesterday I installed a quickshifter on a 600 K8 with a dynojet sensor. Shifter works awesome,and the bike runs fine just like that... I recommend checking the AFR though,because the map won't be perfect..it will require some tuning.
The bike wouldn't idle. The same thing will probably happen to the 750 K8 if you do this...
You have 2 options to fix it.
1) Replace the ISC valve with one from a 1000 K8 ( 21H50)
2) Block the ISC using 2 1/2 inch rubber plugs,one for the airbox and one for the hole on the throttle bodies. I got 2 new pink plugs like the stock one that is one the airbox. Dealership has them available.
Then adjust the idle manually using a 7mm wrench and a 2mm allen.Loosen the nut with the 7mm wrench and turn the idle screw one full turn clockwise,start the bike,adjust the idle to 1.100-1200 rpms,tighten the nut and you are golden...
