Flashed My Brothers M109R and as expected the results were positive.
Spent considerable time adjusting in the timing maps to remove the need for the TRE. Making blended timing Maps proved to be a little hard on the head with the two cylinders and the two gear groups but the work was worth it. Also for any of you who may be reading this and wondering if this is something you want, answer is "YES". Let me explain.
More INFO; Secondary Throttle Plates start closing on the M109 at 5854 RPM(down to open only 20% all the way to redline)once bike is in gear group 4,5. While in gear group 1,2 & 3 plates stay open to 98% all the way to your reline of 7200 RPM. This alone IMO needs to be changed.
If you are in drag racing against a flashed ECU 109, the bike with the Flash would have the clear advantage of Full unrestricted Air flow after 5800 RPM. Look for the flashed bike to pull away after the change into fourth gear, as the factory Governor kicks in and the non flashed Bike has it throttle plates close down a whopping 80%.
With all the mods available on this bike with high flow filters, having the Secondary Throttle Plates close is well just plain ?????? . Now with Justin Woolich we have the tools to fix this with out going in and physically removing the plates. Very Nice Indeed. On the Kawi ZX-14R we made 2 more hp with the plates installed compared to removed. Smoother air flow ?? That debated lives on.
Redline # of 7200 is now Also adjustable. All this with the Top speed limiter removed make it a Yes got to have mod.
Hope this Helps any of you who Read, Cheers |
