O2 problem

 Re: O2 problem
Doesn't lower compression require more ign advance? That might help your pre cat unburned hc ppm.

 Re: O2 problem
Hi Shifu, Biggest problem is that I dont have any tuning software ( WR software etc ), so its stock Ecu. I give some details: So i test emissions at 2000 rpm ( for tüv ) and HC is normal, CO is normal ( below 0.5 ), O2 is 1.63 % or higher, CO2 is 14.2 %, Lambda showing 1.059. This is very lean, I was searching for leakage of air in manifold, test injectors ( primary ones ), test compression, test fuel pressure and everything is fine like should be, but before he has PC3 and I dont know the information before look like with PC. Now its stock, no pinging, no misfire, its running very well only too much of air at 2000 rpm ( at example 7-8000 rpm its ok ), I suspect on exaust ( cat ) but who knows for sure its a problem ?! And yes, try too put another Lambda and same problem remains. Any suggestions? Cheers.

 Re: O2 problem
Hi guys, I have problem with Fireblade 06-07 model 1000 ccm, HC is way to high ( over 50 ppm, sometimes over 60-70 ppm ), lambda is ( 1.07 ), O2 is 1.81, and CO2 is 14.8-14.9 sometimes even higher, these readings show me lean mixture, there is no PC or some other software, so stock ecu. Ive try another ecu and the problem is the same, also try with another Lambda and nothing. Sparks are white, also HC is noticable on them, compression is 10.5:1 ( 11.9:1 stock ). I dont have any tuned software so I cant look at map, besides software for honda is only from 08 model for now. I be thankefull for any suggestions. Cheers. I would not be concerned with high HC readings to start with. You might be simply burning some oil. The information you have provided is very incomplete. The AFR will change depending or RPM/loading of the engine so that 1.07 at low RPM could be fine. The sparkplugs should never be white however. I would suggest checking if you are using correct heat values. You are using a stock maps with decompressed engine (??????). Was it tuned after the changes? I would suggest for a start to do few dyno runs to see what the AFR looks like across the full rev range.
