Re: GEN II Auto Shift Issue |
| Sounds like a simple wiring issue to me. Sketch it out and let us see it. This is something that should work, and I was a able to get working in the garage, but haven't tested at the track yet.
To do this, the pair valve is removed and I am using the grounding wire going to the ECU to ground a dual pole single throw relay that ground both the valve to the shift solenoid and the ECU for ignition kill on separate circuits.
The pair valve signal wire should ground the connection as long as the RPM is above the target set point so time should not be an issue. |

GEN II Auto Shift Issue |
Well got everything wired up and took her out for a test run.
I am using the ECU editor for a 2 step, shift light, and auto shift with the pass button for a manual shift (co2 shifter)
Everything works great!! Except I cant get the autoshift to work.
I am coming off my pair valve signal going to activate a relay which kills the ignition and fuel.
When it gets to the set rpm (which ive tried 5500-10,000) the shift light comes on and the ignition and fuel are killed but no shift
When I activate the pass switch all works great!!
So I figured ok maybe the signal isn't long enough from the pair valve so I added in a multi function timer.. goes as the following.... pair valve signal wire goes to the time relay,, time relay send a ground to the shift relay for a determined amount which in the case it was .05 sec still samething, shift light comes on engine kill but no upshift.
The onlything I am not 100% sure on is the 2 wires on the pair valve.
I am using the signal wire at the pair valve, t tapped in. Are you disconnecting the pair valve out of the circuit compleltly or t tapping in the - signal? |
