Re: Flashing Gixxer 1K L2 ECU |
The ECU's for the GSX-R 1000 from 2008-2014 are virtually identical so you could use a 2008 GSX-R ECU but you will run into issues with the immobilizer if you use a US ECU on a EU bike, contact us if you need more info on some options here:

The best way to find out exactly which bin file you have in an ECU is "Tools"->"Read Serial Number" see this support center item:

Flashing Gixxer 1K L2 ECU |
Hello All,
I am having the ECU with the following numbers:
============
32920-47HA0
112100-9140
12V NEP104
A
============
I am not aware of the software bin version that it is running (Someone on this forum reported a discrepancy in the numbering on the box and the version number). My question is - "Is it possible to buy any cheap functioning Gixxer 1K ECU (2009 onwards) from ebay and flash the bin file from the original ECU above? My intention is to have two ECUs - one modded and one completely stock while experimenting". I'm new to this and want to make sure, I don't screw things up here.
Would there be any issues in doing so? Don't want to screw up the immobilizer, particularly.
Do advice... |
