If you are having issues with any of our interfaces please complete the simple tests on our support page and then send the results of the test to us via the Contact Us Page on our web site, this is the quickest and easiest way to get to the bottom of any problems with Interfaces.

| Check the wire connections. If one is loose in the terminal or not making contact, it may not work properly.
I just checked again and everything seems to be fine. I'm using the bench flasher right now, so there's not nearly as many wires and connections as if the ECU were on the bike
And glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue... unfortunately I didn't even get mine to flash or read once.
I find it really odd that when it's in flash mode (red light on) it says it's "not in programming mode".. when I try to read or write.
Would be nice to hear from Woolich or at least exchange this for another one that will hopefully work. All the current retailers that I know of are out of them here in the states. |

| I am having the same issue--- same silly error messages. But I actually flashed the bike once! Can see the data from bike everytime. But no more flash! Have rebooted computer, on/ off bike, reset and checked ports etc etc etc ---- really annoying. |

| Kind of a long story but here goes...
I received a woolich flash unit for a 2013 hayabusa. I also purchased the type 6 harness along with it. When I try to fread or write the ECU I get this error:
Interface is not in Programming Mode, set interface to Programming Mode and retry.

When I toggle the switch on the flasher to the yellow/orange light I get this error when I try to read or write the ECU:
Unexpected or missing ECU response during intialization. Programming aborted, reset ecu and reprogram.

Where it gets weird is that this is the 2nd unit I tried. The first woolich had the same exact problem and I sent it back to the seller and he confirmed he couldn't get it to work either. However the seller checked the 2nd unit before sending it to me and confirmed that it was working for him before he sent it.
But I'm still having this same issue. I've triple and quadruple checked to make sure the connections are correct, I've tried different laptops, I've tried both WRT software and ECU editor 2.0, I've even purchased a bench flashing unit and it still gives the same errors when I try to read or write with the ECU off the bike. I've installed and reinstalled countless COM port drivers.
When I test the interface when it is in flash (red light on) mode it tells me it failed, and that the Read and Write Data speeds are different
When I test the interface when it is in data (yellow light on) mode it passed just fine and I can see all the engine data like throttle position moving when I give it throttle etc..
This is all the same issues I had with the 1st flash unit, I'm still having with this 2nd unit. I can't imagine that I have received 2 bad flashing units, so I must be doing something wrong or there is some setting that I need to change?
