| These will be a Denso ECU of the earlier type which can not be read via the Main ECU Plugs. You can only write to this ECU.

It depends on the bike model and ECU. If you let me know which bike you are working on i can give further advice?
The bike is a 2013 Intruder 1800 (VZR1800?) UK Model. I have tried running the bike on a 2007 ecu from the USA but they don't like each other 
Having trouble finding a spare ecu on Ebay so don't want to brick mine!  |

| Is there a way to read a ecu when WR does not yet supply a BIN/definition file?
Interested in getting the map from a 2012 ECU

| Instructions for Reading and Writing a bin file to ECU |
| the following are the steps to read/write to an ECU using the WRT software:
Read ECU
Install Harness according to the Installation Instructions
Connect the Interface to the harness
Connect the Interface to the computer with the supplied USB cable
Ensure Interface is in ECU flashing mode (red LED on)
Open Woolich Racing Tuned Software
Open the bin file definition for your model (click the "New" button then select the manufacturer, model, year and partnumber)
Turn the bike ignition on, or turn the power supply on for bench flashing
Click the "Tools"=>"Read ECU" menu item
The WRT software will connect to the ECU and read the bin file from the ECU into memory
Write ECU
Install Harness according to the Installation Instructions
Connect the Interface to the harness
Connect the Interface to the computer with the supplied USB cable
Ensure Interface is in ECU flashing mode (red LED on)
Open Woolich Racing Tuned Software
Open the bin file definition for your model (click the "New" button then select the manufacturer, model, year and part number or click the "Open" button to open a previously saved bin file)
Make any changes to the bin file
Turn the bike ignition on, or turn the power supply on for bench flashing
Click the "Tools"=>"Write ECU" menu item or click the "Write" button on the main form
The WRT software will connect to the ECU and write the bin file to the ECU, the progress is shown at the bottom of the Main Form |
