I plan on trying the launch control at our next test and tune. Does anyone have any suggestions for a stock wheelbase gen 2 Hayabusa without a wheel speed input?
Here is some info from my last log file
Stage rpm was about 4500
During the launch it flashed as high as 8000 with the clutch completely engaged at 6000. This the took 1.376 seconds per the log file from when the clutch switch was open
Max rpm in 1st gear was 10800 at 3.176 seconds.
So do I set the max rpm at 11k with the ramp time 3176 and then shorten from there?
Do i try and use the launch rpm to control the rpm during the time sliding the clutch or only to stage?
Thanks for any input
Hi, the ramp starts when the clutch switch indicates the clutch is out, so based on your data you should set the ramp time to 1.4 seconds and adjust shorter from there.
Yes you should set Map Ramp RPM as 11,000
You can try some different things for the launch RPM, some guys who set the launch RPM low only hold it for a short time, other with a higher Launch RPM hold the RPM longer while slipping the clutch on launch. Best thing to do is see what works for you, and use the logged data to make adjustments. |
