Re: B king Pair disable |
I agree, and thanks for bringing it to my attention, i will do it now to avoid confusion in the future. |

Re: B king Pair disable |
Yes its a common assumption that this setting disable the function of the PAIR valve but it doesnt, you should remove the PAIR system or use block off plates or the marble.
I'm pretty sure the confusion comes from the wording of the instructions on the Advanced Tab which states checking or unchecking the box enables or disables the pair valve. Any reasonable person (who wouldn't know better) would assume that means it disables the actual function of the pair valve. All it really does is disable the FI light.
Might be helpful for new users to rewrite the instructions on the Advanced Tab to state checking or unchecking the box enables or disables the "FI Light" once pair valve is removed.
Or something similar. Just a thought.
This is one of the best mods ever, any little tiny bit of improvement just adds to make it even more better. |

Re: B king Pair disable |
A friend of mine disabled te pair in the ecu on his gsx-r 750 l1, but left the pair valve on the bike. While riding the pair valve was open all the time, caused very lean afr measurements. |

Re: B king Pair disable |
Yes i do that most of the time but as i do a lot of customer bikes on the dyno i was trying to use this function to keep the pair valve closed so we dont get an incorrect A/F ratio reading on the dyno. But it seems its best to do it the manual way just to make sure
OK.
Your finding is interesting.
I also thought this function (disable PAIR "tickoff") disabled the whole "thingie".
Not just the "check-logic". |

Re: B king Pair disable |
The ususal thing to do is to buy(or make yourself) block-off plates.
Or do the "marble trick" (block off the air supply) to PAIR. |

Re: B king Pair disable |
So it disables the fi light? I have to remove it to stop it working? Is this the same on the other models aswell. Gsxr1000 k8 it seems to stop the valve working? |
|
Re: B king Pair disable |
From memory disabling he PAIR valve disables the FI light allowing you to remove the valve, so there would probably still be some code for PAIR function that is running inside the ECU. |

B king Pair disable |
I have just flashed a B king ECU everything appears to be working but i still see the pair valve opening and closing on the live engine data even though i have disabled it. You can see the flash has worked as it has removed the speed restrictions in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnrTkHeP6ic |
