Log Box Pro - WRT Error " access to Com Port 6 is denied"

Re: Log Box Pro - WRT Error " access to Com Port 6 is denied
Justin....?

Re: Log Box Pro - WRT Error " access to Com Port 6 is denied
Further update. I disabled windows firewall (Win 7) and my antivirus with the same result. The engine data screen opens with the "Record" button activated. Bottom left corner of the screen says "Engine Data Connected" COM port access denied message pops up in the background. If I hit "Stop" the message in the bottom left hand corner changes to "Engine Data Disconnected. I suspect this is a bluetooth communication error, ie there is no connection established so the software throws up the "access denied" message. Can you suggest some troubleshooting steps please. Cheers Keith

Update. I just removed and readded the device. Went without error, driver install was successful. This time COM 8 and COM 3 were chosen. Same result. Access to the port 'COM3' is denied. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The only thing I noticed was it took several tries to detect and connect to the BT device.

Log Box Pro - WRT Error " access to Com Port 6 is denied"
Hi Justin WRT v1.6.3 (also in previous versions.) I have not yet been able to connect to to the Engine data via Bluetooth. I have had this issue since getting the logbox Pro but have only just had time to do some testing. I have detected and paired the device and entered the pair code. The drivers install correctly. I see the COM ports 5 (outgoing Woolich Racing BT 'Dev B') and Com 6 (Incoming Woolich Racing BT) When I select "Start" in the engine data <Record> section I get a WRT error pop up "Access to Com Port 6 is denied". (Ignition on, Logbox switch in "Engine Data" position. I get the same error if I reselect COM6 from the dropdown or hit "Refresh". Also appears to max out the memory usage on my laptop. I have to use task manager to kill WRT. I have removed and uninstalled the device and Com ports and reinstalled three times. There are no errors during this process. Also, once I install the Bluetooth device and ports the Engine Data page locks up if I have bluetooth switched on but do not have a bluetooth connection. ie, the ignition is off. So if I want to view a previously recorded log file I have to turn bluetooth off first. I have also noted that the Engine data screen opens with the "Record" button depressed. Regards Keith
