I have made a purchase but I can't login |
After you have created a Woolich Racing account and made a purchase on our website, your account will be automatically verified assuming that the same email address is used for both the account as well as the purchases.
This is done when your Order is process and packed, your account will be checked and verified.
This means you will get access to the software, and you can watch the video guides before your Package arrives. This is also the perfect time to complete the Woolich Foundations Training Course (free) which will guide you in the basics of how to lookup ECU part numbers, check harnesses, how to find answers to common questions and general guidelines for using the Woolich Racing equipment and software.
If you have ordered over the weekend, then your order will be processed and shipped on Monday.
If your account has failed automatic verification, it is usually because some details on your Woolich Racing account, or PayPal address, or your geolocation details, do not match up, and your account will require manual verification. If this has happened, or if your account has not been verified by the time you have received your package, then please Open a Support Ticket.

Do You Support ECU Flashing for Harley Davidson? |
Woolich Racing does support flashing of ECUs for several Harley Davidson ranges including Dyna, Softail, Sportster, Street, Touring, V-Rod and Pan America amongst others. The technical skill level required to flash these ECUs is a little higher than for many of the other manufacturers so access to these products is currently limited to professional tuners. If you are a professional tuner and would like to know more or if you would like us to connect you with a Woolich Racing-Harley Davidson tuner in your area, please open a support ticket and let us know how we can help.

Why Can't I Download the Free WRT Software? |
Woolich Racing provides the Woolich Racing Tuned software completely free of charge for all verified Woolich Racing customers to use. This means that anyone who has purchased all of the components required to start using the Woolich Racing Tuned software to write to their ECU will be provided access and will be able to download the free software.
A 'verified' customer is someone who has fulfilled the following requirements: - Has a current active Woolich Racing Account
- Has purchased one of our Tuning Packages required to start using the software (i.e. a tuning package including harness and communication interface)
The normal process is that a customer would make a purchase from our website, and after paying with PayPal, create a new Woolich Racing account under the same PayPal verified email address and mailing address. This then automatically assigns those products to, and verifies your WR account (i.e. account belongs to a real person with a real email and physical address).
This is an automatic process but it only works if the same email address is used for the account as well as the purchase. If a different PayPal email address is used, the automatic verification will fail and your account will need to be manually verified. If the email addresses for your Woolich Racing account and PayPal account are different please open a Support Ticket and let us know which accounts you are using and what equipment you have purchased - this will help us manually verify you account.
After your account is verified you will be able to login - Woolich Racing Customer Login - and download the free Woolich Racing Tuned software. Any future purchases that you make using your PayPal email will also be automatically credited to your Woolich Racing account.
Once your account is verified you will have access to:
- Woolich Racing Account (used to log into the website and the Woolich Racing Tuned software)
- Download and install the free Woolich Racing Tuned software on up to 3x Windows PC's
- User Guides and Installation Manuals which are relevant to your purchases
- Customer submitted MapShare Files.
- 24hr / 5days a week support through our Online Ticketing Support System handled by our Australian, UK, EU, and USA support staff, around the clock.
Unfortunately, we do not give access to the free software without a customer having the means to flash an ECU. (i.e. a Woolich Racing interface, Harness and a Bin File Definition/Key.)

Buying Second-Hand Woolich Racing Hardware |
Woolich Racing hardware including harnesses, Race Tools and communication devices are installed and used on motorcycles all over the world so it is not uncommon that ownership sometimes changes. In order for you (the buyer) to be able to access all of the hardware capabilities it is important to transfer the ownership of these items to your account.
These hardware components are registered to a specific Woolich Racing user account and licensed for use by the owner by associating them with keys (eg. bin file definition keys, Race Tools keys) which are usually written to the motorcycle ECU. This means that the hardware components do not necessarily just work by themselves but instead require valid keys as well as the Woolich Racing Tuned software in order to make modifications to the way that these work.
This article provides an explanation of the actions needed by the buyer of second-hand Woolich Racing products in order to be able to use them as soon as possible.
Whenever Woolich Racing hardware is bought/sold there are some specific tasks that must be completed in order to transfer ownership of the physical product(s) as well as the rights to use (ie. licenses) them from the seller to the buyer. There are a few steps that both the seller and buyer need to go through to successfully transfer ownership.
Note: We only transfer Woolich Racing devices when sold (ie. changing ownership), we do not transfer devices just so you can temporarily loan them to a friend.
Changing the ownership of Woolich Racing hardware involves several different steps depending on whether you are the buyer or the seller: - Let us know about sale
- This can be done by either the buyer or seller.
- Inform Woolich Racing that hardware is being sold so ownership must be changed.
- Please include contact details for buyer/seller as well as a list of what is being sold.
- This can be done by emailing us at support@woolichracing.com or opening a new Support Ticket.
- Seller confirms sale and authorizes transfer of hardware from seller account to buyer account
- We will communicate with the seller as needed to confirm that they authorize the hardware transfer(s) as part of the sale.
- More information about selling your Woolich Racing hardware can be found here.
- Buyer creates a new Woolich Racing account if they don't have one already
- Once we have permission to transfer the device(s), the buyer will need to create a new WR account using their email address - Create a New Woolich Racing Account
- Once your account has been created we will verify it and you will be able to download and install the Woolich Racing Tuned software.
- Buyer completes the free Woolich Foundations Training Course.
- This course will teach you the basics of the Woolich Racing 'ecosystem' and where to find help when you need it
- Buyer requests transfers of all Woolich Racing products included in sale to their account
- Communication interface (eg. Log Box or USB)
- Request device transfer via Support Ticket and Woolich Racing Tuned software.
- Instructions for transferring ownership of the communication interface can be found here.
- Bin file key
- If an ECU is included in the sale and it has a Woolich Racing bin file key associated with it, this may be eligible for a transfer from seller to buyer.
- Note that this transfer can only be done once so we need to check that there are not other prior owners
- Instructions for requesting a transfer of the bin file key to your own account can be found here.
- Race Tools hardware
- Race Tools hardware like Quickshifters etc are registered to a specific Woolich Racing account
- Please send us a photo of any Race Tools hardware that you have purchased, including the serial number
- We will make note on your account of the new Race Tools hardware so that you have access to warranty, support, etc.
- Race Tools key
- Race Tools keys are associated with a specific ECU and user account, and enable the owner to modify Race Tools options like Quickshifters etc.
- Transfer of a Race Tools key can be requested by emailing us at support@woolichracing.com or opening a new Support Ticket or responding to an existing one.
- If the Race Tools key is elegible for a transfer, it be added to your account so that you can use it in your Woolich Racing Tuned software.
- Instructions for transferring ownership of the Race Tools key can be found here.

How to request a Bin File Key Transfer using the ECU VIN |
Bin File Definition Keys are a kind of license that allows a Woolich Racing account to communicate (read/write, etc) with a specific ECU. These keys are locked to the account that originally purchased them and then flashed the ECU.
A one-time Key Transfer is available to transfer the key to a new tuner. This is allowed so a private owner can either tune themselves or can take the bike to a professional tuner who also has a Woolich Racing account. This one-time transfer can also be used when selling an ECU (ie. as part of a complete bike) which has already has a bin file key allocated to it.
This article refers specifically to ECUs which have the VIN recorded and do not have any supported 'Read ECU' capability in the WRT software. These models have the bin file key associated with the bike's VIN when they are first written to, to request a bin file key transfer on these models you will need to read the VIN using the WRT software, Open a Support Ticket and and attach a screenshot showing the VIN as described below.
When you view the ECU part number in the Model Selector window of the WRT software you can find some information under 'Bin File Details' as shown below. In the example below we have selected a bin file for a 2020 Yamaha YZF-R1, the key type is shown as 'VIN bin file key'. This ECU cannot be read out but stilll has a bin file key recorded and associated with the bike's VIN.
If your ECU part number shows a 'Read ECU' button in the WRT software please do not use the method described below, instead please see the instructions here: How to request a Bin File Key Transfer.
- Ensure that the computer running the Woolich Racing Tuned software is connected to the internet.
- Connect the harness to the ECU
- On-bike harness needs to be installed as per the User Guides
- Bench harness needs to be connected to ECU and powered using a 12V power supply
- Connect the communication interface (eg. Log Box or USB) to the ECU using the appropriate harness
- Connect the communication interface to the computer using the provided USB cable
- Turn on the 12V power to the ECU
- Switch on the ignition if using an on-bike harness
- Turn on 12V power supply if using a bench harness
- Start the Woolich Racing Tuned software and click on the 'New' button
- Select the Manufacturer (1), Model (2), Year (3) and ECU Part Number (4) for the ECU you wish to read the VIN from as per the screenshot below. Click on 'New' (5) to open the bin file
You will already need to have access to this bin file definition in order to open the file. If not you will need to purchase a Key for this definition, or allocate a bulk Key to unlock it in the software. The key can be returned once the transfer is completed. (NOTE: Returning the first Key only applies to Keyed Definitions. Keys used to unlock an Unlimited Definition, can not be returned, as your account is gaining the ability to flash unlimited ECU's)
- In the WRT software select Tools > Read VIN as shown below for a 2024 Yamaha MT-09:
- The VIN will be read out from the ECU and displayed on screen as shown below.
- Please take a screenshot of the VIN readout as shown above and paste it into a new Support Ticket requesting a Bin File Key Transfer.
Hint: You can take a screenshot in Windows 10 or 11 by pressing 'Shift + Windows + S'.
Note: Do not attempt to write to the ECU until after you have received confirmation that the Transfer has been approved, or you will write over the top of the current flash, using one of your own Keys.
Please reply back to your support ticket once you have requested the transfer, and we will let you know if it is eligible to be transferred.

How do I purchase Bin File Definitions for use within the WRT software? |
Every ECU has information that is used to control the vehicle, this information is saved in a binary or 'bin' file. In order to read or write to an ECU we need to know how the information is stored and this information is contained in a Bin File Definition. Bin File Definitions are made available by Woolich Racing for all supported models.
The video below and the information provided in this page provides an overview of the Bin File Definition purchase and download process.
There are a few different ways that you can purchase Bin File Definitions for use within the WRT software: - Purchase as part of a package with an USB Interface/Log Box, Harness and USB Cable from within the Products Page.
- Purchase Bin File Definitions as a single item from within the Products Page.
- Purchase a set of Bulk Keys a discounted rate, which you can allocate to a bin file definition later.
To access the Bin File Definitions through the first two methods, please click on the make and model of the bike you’re interested in. The package (1) should be at the top of the list of products, while the Bin File Definition (2) as a single item is listed further down the page. To purchase simply click the ‘Buy Now’ button and continue through the check-out process.
For the third method, please refer to our article on how to Purchase Bulk Bin File Definition Keys. If you purchase the Definition/Key using the same email as your account, your products will automatically apply to your account and will be available straight away. If you have purchased under a different email, you will need to contact us to have it allocated to the correct account manually.
We are regularly adding support for new bike models in the Woolich Racing Tuned software. To be notified when these products are listed, please subscribe to our email updates to be notified when this occurs.

How many computers can I use my WRT account on? |
You are able to use your WRT account on a maximum of 3 computers at the same time.
Your computer count will increase if you install the WRT software onto another PC. If you upgrade your PC to a newer version of Windows, such as Win10 or Win11, this may also count as a 'new' computer by the software.
The account will be auto-locked if you attempt to use the software on more than 3 computers.
If you are no longer using the WRT Software on one of your PC's, it is recommended that you uninstall the software, to avoid your computer count increasing again, and your account being auto-locked.
Please contact us with your account details if this happens as we are able to remove computers from your account.
