New "user defined iap - tps transition" feature?

Postby demoncamber » Fri Nov 17, 2017 1:09 am

Hey guys, curious if anyone has played with the new option in settings > autotune tab called "user defined iap - tps transition"

What's it do and how does it work? Any suggestions?

It controls the point at which the logging decides to stop showing/utilising data (its always captured) in IAP table(s), basically. It makes a significant difference on a road bike that is in 'cruise mode' or using low throttle openings a lot. IMHO, that value needs to be above whatever the % throttle reaches when travelling at a constant speed.

So what would be a good value for street riding as opposed to track to smooth things out?

With the change of the new USER defined IAP you can blend the IAP to TPS Transition a lot more.
The default setting is 0 which means it will usually blend the IAP to TPS transition on most bikes from around 10-14%. Setting this anywhere from 14%-20% may make the IAP transition a lot smoother after Autotuning for bikes like the new Yamaha Models and GSXS-1000.
