Am I using up my purchased bins for no reason?

Postby Simplyorange » Wed Mar 04, 2015 4:48 pm

My concern is that I am using my bin files incorrectly. here is what i have done...

I read the ECU from the bike
Selected new bin, loaded the woolich modified bin from map share
wrote the bin to the ecu.
closed woolich software and it asked me to save the bin or not because it has changed, i hit save and saved it to my desktop.
Later I reopened woolich software and selected to open a bin, choose the one off of my desktop and changed the advanced settings for exhaust servo etc.
wrote the bin to the ecu again and it asked me to ssave or not, i Hit save again and it added a second file to my desktop.

Does this mean I have used up 2 of my 3 purchased bin files?
If i did then how to I open the bins to modify it without using my other bins?

I wanted to use one bin for street tune, and one tune for race gas and want to make sure that next time I open the software that I am not using my last bin file.

My understanding and the way the support center article is worded that you can flash up to 3 different ECU's, has nothing to do with how many different setups you flash to the same ECU.

It tells you in software how many you have remaining.

I have personally flashed, say, 4 bikes, used 4 of the BIN keys, then had the first bike come back for map touchups, and not had to purchase more keys.

No,you can tune a specific ECU as many times as you like,it sort of locks to the Serial Number of the ECU,not the "map" inside it.
